Ya im still in the Vulva. Prob. will be till it gets closer to half a million on it. Keep in mind that any "real world" numbers will be hard to compare. Almost no two trucks are the same, ie what they pull, where they pull etc. Even in the same company it would be hard to do a fair comparison because of the different drivers. Some guys will bump the govenor at every shift no matter what, some use progressive shifting. Most of us are somewhere in the middle(dont care what some radio hosts say, sometimes Mpg's are secondary). Oh, and the rumored KW dealership would be the third dealership in the ATS "family". They own St. Cloud Truck Sales)Freightliner), Allstate Peterbilt(name says it all), and now the new kid on the block. Helzz they have their fingers in so many pies they make Jake Horner look stupid!LOL

Couple of years back, I was at Performance Truck in Beaumont,TX, shelling out big bucks for that undercab muffler that KW puts on their W9s.
I complained to the parts guy, wondering why they didn't hang the mufflers on the cab, like a Pete- the service manager was standing nearby and stated that the KWs cab was too wide for that, the mufflers would block the view of your trailer in the mirrors. I never measured, maybe he was still thinking "359".

i have driven almost every make out there, and in my personal opinion i hae to say Volvo is the best, especially if ya get one with a Detroit in it. the 670 and 780 models are definatly there premier truck. i like the freightliner coranado and cascadia trucks are very nice as well. hower my problem with the freight century and coumbias is the driver comfort really is not that great. anyone ever try and actually put a cup in a freight cup holder?

On the outside the Aerocab is wider droy, but on the inside its almost the same. The older modular KW cabs were the same as the Pete.

I have owned several Kenworths, but I don't believe they are superior to any other brands, the one I have now, a 2008 W900 seems to be very noisy, I almost need to wear earplugs to drive it.

I have always said that Peterbilt drivers are like Harley-Davidson riders, they always claim that Pete (or Harley-Davidson) is best, but can't give me a reason why. I always argue with my brother in-law about this, he just says "I don't know why, they are just the best"

Well for me I really like the Classic XL looks out of all of them but since I don't drive I only own them I really don't care what they are as long as they are clean and comfortable on the inside (for my drivers) and are in good shape mechanically.

Best truck I ever had was a Green International Eagle (Fugliest thing ever IMO) with a CAT but #### that was a good truck.

I just bought my first Century with a 430/470 Detroit 10 speed 3.58 rearend and we will see how it goes. (first Century and Detroit)

The best truck is the one that does the job you want it to do. Trucks are tools and in the last 28 years I have driven just about any Badge that you can imagine and some you probably never heard of. In this industry there is no "One size fits all". Every Brand has their good and bad points. It's up to whomever is spec'ing the trucks to know what they need and want. What your asking is like asking what's the best kind of ice cream. Everyone will have their own opinion.
