Hi all, new to the forum but have been reading it for awhile now.
I am having trouble with my fan it keeps shutting off making my AC in the front stop working. I can tap the fan motor and get it to run, but it will only stay running for so long...if I turn the fan lower (from the switch) it will shut it down immediately. I just replaced the resister before posting this but that didn't help. Do you think it's the motor?
I am stuck at a stop for the weekend in the heat, have my dog w/ me and need the AC working properly! Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

It sounds like a bad Fan Control Switch.

You can test the Blower Motor by bypassing the switch and running 12 volts directly to it and see if it stays on.

If it stays running, than the On/Off Fan Speed switch is bad.

My rear A/C was doing the same thing, it would work intermittently depending on the fan speed switch position.

I replaced rotary fan speed switch and it solved the problem.

I have a 2000 vnl64. My front blower motor just stopped working. Is there a fuse for this. Can't find it in the main panel

If there's no fuse than it's controlled by a relay or circuit breaker.

As each truck is spec'd differently, look on the fuse box label to see how your truck is configured.

Ended up replacing resister, it wasn't it, so then replaced the blower motor. Running fine now. Thanks for the responses.

My fuses are on top of the dash by the top cupholder...the top pops off to access them.

My truck has a mind of its own. The blower motor started working shortly after and hasn't missed a beat yet
