All new trucks are turd piles, every single one is a plastic snap together rattling bucket of crap.

Buy what you like its your money just make sure what ever truck you buy has an extended warranty. That will give you a piece of mind to at least 500k miles.

    I would buy the Freightliner
    Pros
Dd15 can get it worked on anywere ,
Parts are ( relatively ) cheap and available
They have a huge dealer network so less down time becuase eventually your truck will be in shop no matter what brand u buy .
Can get a real warranty frieghtliner that acctually covers stuff .

All the smoth ride and looks cool #### means nothing if your not making money .

    austinmike and EdwinTheGreat218 Thank this.

I have 2014 Cascadia loaded with bells and whistles, dd15 10 speed .Apu Very roomy and comfy . Love it .

I hear great things about Volvo and the Auto and they have the more reliable emissions system.

No paccar or Cummins for me.

Doesn't metter - Volvo or Freighliner. Just look at truck characteristics: wheelbase 237- 244-260 inches, axle ratio 3.08-3.25, transmissions DT12 freighliner or Ishift Volvo (Volvo Ishift may be better then DT12?) engine Detroit -D15-D16 or Volvo, engine horsepower 485-500, front tires load range (H or J$), front axle capacity 13300 or 14600. My opinion.

How to check front axle capacity? - scale ticket with heavy load or in papers for truck from dealership. New Cascadias don't have stickers with truck characteristics in glove compartment like old Freighliner 2016 and older

Best choice - Glider Kit with no DEF. But hard to find with automatic transmission.
