I'm heading across the border tomorrow also. The Canada runs are getting kinda old now. I wouldn't miss the $25 at all if I never went back again.

I hide it! You can't really see it from the street when I park at the house. If I have a trailer, I will park at Dairy Queen.Redtwin Thanks this.
-
You mean the tobacco company? Enjoy the mites, mate.Redtwin Thanks this.
-
Yup, I was trying to avoid using that word though.
-
Sneaky!. I imagine you wouldn't want a bunch of Abilene drivers stopping by expecting dinner.
RebelChick Thanks this. -
Nah. New-ish driver. African-American lady.Redtwin Thanks this.

Reset will be done here in Winnipeg at 8pm. Got my load assignment earlier today. Dead head 895 miles down to Minooka Illinois for a drop and hook tomorrow evening going to our West Memphis yard for Monday. The load I delivered here yesterday had a declared value of $941,000 dollars. I'm thinking that the freight rate the company made will offset this dead head.
bigred81, runningman0661, Crusader66 and 2 others Thank this. -
Even after you get the $25 Canada crossing?.JohnBoy Thanks this.
-
I was thinking they could double the crossing pay. It shouldn't hurt them too much.Redtwin Thanks this.

An extra $25 would almost make dealing with those miserable CBP dudes worth it...almost.
Having said that, this past friday the guy was quite pleasant, even smiled and joked. I thought for sure it was a setup and was expecting them to swarm me as soon as I pulled away from the booth.JohnBoy Thanks this.
