They have special places for the prints now cost about 85 dollars. heading out in about ten minutes to take written hazmat test. fingerprints took a month to get back was told that's about normal. good luck in whatever you do.

CDL requirements are based on the GVWR of your truck or truck and trailer.

Logging requirements are based on wether or not your running for hire. If youre running for hire youre stilled considered a commercial carrier and must log your hours. Even if the truck youre running doesnt require a CDL. A non CDL truck and trailer still requires a commercial inspection and you are still required to have a DOT physical. Youre still required to have commercial insurance.

Those are the laws. I've read them in the CDL handbook. And also had some of my infractions pointed out to me by a DOT cop. But he let me go.

I didnt have my Commercial inspection or physical. My truck and trailer combo was less than 26,001 so i didnt need a CDL. He checked my GVWR and mentioned i didnt need so i was good to go. Checked my BOL and Commercial insurance. Told me to get my commercial inspection cause the next guy wouldnt let me go.

Thats been my experience Hot Shottin.

Looking for a Hot Shot job in North Dakota. Ran a 32' straight truck and some trailer experience for about 5 years but that was 20+ years ago and i don't have a CDL. Was a volunteer fireman for 4 years recently and rand our tenders and engines mostly Freightliners. any leads would be greatly appreciated as the Real Estate Appraisal market here in NW Montana is bone dry.
