Stay safe cuz you're on the side of town that floods very easy... But yeah that Freightliner is an absolute joke I would inform your company. This dealership has a reputation for taking two weeks to fix the truck even on the most minor of things

Well there have been rumblings of them at least getting me out of here if it will be there for an extended period of time. Probably will be on a Greyhound or with another driver rolling through here and headed back North ... I am not holding my breath on that though. I will hunker down and ride this ##### out and hope I dont drown. Been through numerous Tropical Storms and Hurricanes in my life.

Really enjoying your thread. I see you passed through my town orange. I'm trying to be out of the area before the storm hits. Orange don't handle to much water well like Houston. Hope you guys get back rolling soon.

Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast this morning .... had a Texas shaped waffle... was pretty good.

Trainer called the company breakdown department and they said Freightliner told them it may not be until Monday before they can even look at it. Ugh...

He next called his DM and he was already working on a plan for both of us to get out of here. For my trainer they are working on getting him a plane ticket to go recover a truck in Utah so he can atleast get rolling again until his truck is fixed. For me they are working on three options. Get me a plane ticket to Columbus, Ohio or Minneapolis, Minnesota .... Greyhound ticket to one of those two places ... third option is have a driver in the area pick me up.

Here we sit waiting on what they decide.

A smart move on the company's part listo hopefully get you guys out of there by tomorrow before the storm comes so you guys don't get stuck in that major flooding they're going to have

They have a driver on the way to pick us both up. That driver will take us to the truck, I will get my stuff and stay with him, trainer will hang out there until they get his plane ticket and he will catch a cab to the airport.

That's good that they are getting you out. Looks like you may be starting a "My solo ride with J&R" thread soon. Looking forward to it. Have enjoyed your adventure from the start. Hopefully when I get started in
Jan. it will go as good as yours has gone so far.

Im here in New Ulm Minnesota at an undisclosed location until Monday. Glad the company got me out of Houston when they did, hurricane intensified and is very strong and dangerous .... life threatening flooding, wind and storm surge down there right now.

Oh, So they are putting you in the top secret undercover division. The one where you pick up at an unknown location and deliver to a invisible location. :)
