Get a white rabbit instead of a dog. They don't bark either and love to play and be petted and cuddled. The one I have runs to me and puts his paws on my leg wanting me to pick him up and rub his head and back. They're great pets and keep themselves clean, constantly grooming like cats do.
What pooch to take on the road?

That's an easy fix. Get some hair coloring and make it look like a Dalmatian.
Then have the fake Dalmatian tattooed for a more realistic look.

BlackThought and SHOJim Thank this. -
Their on the list too! This list they have is crazy! Some I understand but we were going to get an English Mastiff (not for in the truck) and it's on the list. Cannot wait to get out of there!!

Move to a more pet friendly state and one with no personal income taxes.BigBob410 Thanks this.

That's a shame, Bob. Pitbulls need all the loving homes they can get. They make awesome truck dogs, bonding so close with their owner like they do. Many suffer from separation anxiety at home all day when dad or mom works a nine to five. They eat up the attention and love marking and barking their way across America.Just passing by and BigBob410 Thank this.

We are definitely bugging out soon as the lease is up. My new company opens up all sorts of possibilities!! We were thinking Southern VA. Or N.C.. my new company haul out of Greer,S.C. Columbia among other places. So N.C. in the country is sounding pretty nice. And can have any dog we want.miss elvee Thanks this.

NC is a good state and so is SC. VA is ok, but I always liked the Carolinas more.BigBob410 and miss elvee Thank this.

We have family in Mooresville and Raleigh (transplants from MD.) And they love it!! Definitely first on my short list. I would like to be a little further in the country though.

Most anywhere in the Carolinas you're close to the country.
I've hauled loads of scrap tobacco "sweepings" to the Raliegh area. They mix it with regular cigarette tobacco. They used to haul it to a landfill until they realized they were burying millions of dollars a year basically. I was born and raised in dark fired tobacco country in Tennessee.BigBob410 Thanks this. -
####ing hate breed specific bans.
Anywhoo. To all of you. If you need a pup go to a shelter Cheap, and the dogs appreciate it.
Just don't leave the animal in a hot truck.BigBob410, Big Don and miss elvee Thank this.
