What do you think about going through Houston on Sunday afternoon? I'm in SC heading to Laredo for Monday delivery. Im arguing with myself whether to stay I-20 to Dallas then Laredo or the usual 20-85-65-10-35.

Unless that's a going home load, I would t-call the load. Because the Austin area is a mess San Antonio is a mess and Houston is a bigger problem.
Some of my family lives in between Austin and San Antonio and right now they've gotten 19 inches of rain and they're expecting 20 moreA21CAV Thanks this. -
Try to get rid of it in Lancaster. Lose is right, it's going to be a nightmare trying to get down 10 or 35 if it's even passable.
A21CAV Thanks this. -

Hell ya I turned down a Laredo load from the NE, no sir I did Katrina and seen the hell the entire areas not even near the disaster get. Then dropping a tcall at any of the yards might be a hassle too.

Well, that was close.
I delivered a load of hay yesterday morning and my next load was going 60 miles to a trailer washout. That place is closed on Sundays so I had to wait until this morning to get it washed out - along with 2 other Swift drivers that delivered at the same place.
I was sent a pplan just as I finished. The pickup had a good enough window that I could air out the trailer, and it needed it badly even after the washout. I sat for about 90 minutes along the way but I could still smell the hay a little.
The place I was picking up inspected all the trailers and insisted on no odors so I was a bit worried going in. But I opened the doors before I checked in. It took long enough to finally get a door that it passed inspection.
Then on to deliver in Apple Valley, CA to the Walmart DC.
My 14 was very short by that time so I didn't get an mt, just headed straight for the TA in Barstow.
The clock hit 00:00 just as I shut off the engine in the fuel island.FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
I imagine many terminals are over full and impossible to get around in with all those trailers sitting around, and they aren't going anywhere for a long time.
It's a very interesting storm. -
Just picked up in Beech Island, Sc going to the Walmart DC in Robert, Louisiana. I'm hoping I can get in and out of there before it starts to flood there.

Good luck ... I'm heading up to NY, eventually. 5 hours of detention and counting.
