Amateurs. They forgot a part i was to pickup, 60 miles back to pick it up. Delivered it all and got a $350 tip. Boss was mad because he did not get extra money and I never mentioned the tip.
Every other time delivering there it was $100 cash. Awesome guy to talk with. 3rd generation bis on farmer.
Biggest tip you received

At my previous job the best I got was $90, which I split with my helper for the day. We delivered a $12k stove to a house. We put it in the kitchen and he said that if we took the old stove with us(from the 1960s) he'd make it worth our while. We loaded up the old stove and hit up the scrap yard on the way back to the terminal. We scored another $30 from that and called it a day.
Big Don and LoneCowboy Thank this. -
$50.
Customer asked if they could throw in tires. Please read the signage on the dumpster NO BATTERIES NO TIRES NO ELECTRONICS. Know for a fact going to be picking this up.
Just hide the tires Mister. What i don't see never happened. Gives $50
Dump the load it was 3 tires. maybe $10 worth at the tire place to turn in HAHAHAA.
Joke was on me, He made sure received his $50 worth. Had every nail possible jammed on the top sticking up. My $400 Tarp was ripped.

Hauling stone and my buddy and I showed up to the job site with the last loads of the day. Contractor meets me and says "I'm sorry but I've made a mistake."
I'm thinking son of a ##### here we go...
He says I ordered way more than I need, I don't care what you do with it. Go dump it somewhere and don't tell anyone I'll still pay for it.
The family farm got a nice new pad outside the barn put in that day.
Can't remember the exact price then, but about 50 ton of #53's and "free" delivery.
If that counts as a tip anyway, more of a freebie/bonus -
Big Don, Shaggy and CasanovaCruiser Thank this.

The dreaded "3 inch spread here, 6 inches there, a 2 ton pile there, and 10 feet across the street. Easy, right?" -
