I worked for Classic as o/o. I noticed their fsc on broker loads is flat rate. For example 68 deadhead on 461 miles paid 617.00 on a particular load from a broker paid 56.21 fsc or .15 if math is correct. But if i pulled a customer load which they offered as well it was 72 deadhead 487 loaded fsc was 100.00 . They negociate a load with a broker with fsc included but their taking 30% of negociated rate which on this case 30% of fsc. So when they say their reimbursing 100% of fsc are they really or are they reimbursing 100% of negociated fsc. To me national avg is what it is. Its not negociable if it is then its not 100% DOE avg. reimbursed.

Don't pull refrigerated. Period. That segment of this industry sucks. Lumpers, pallet exchange, damaged freight, 12 hour wait times.....

Now, all those things can happen with dry vans too, but nowhere near as often as with refrigerated. -
Got a decent load today off freight board . 364mi 1000 gross. On to the next load we go.

I am amazed that no one mentioned the Dateline NBC show where Classic Carriers made us all look like a bunch pill poppin #######.
So did they really think that they were going to show the positive side of trucking? really? The only thing classic carriers managed to show is that they are whats wrong with trucking. I don't care how much they pay drivers and how much turnover these people screwed us all over!
And further more I don't care that they won $525K in damages classic carriers will always be the trucking company that made trucking look bad, forever....
I've certainly never drove for them but it would give me great pleasure and satisfaction to see these people take their $525K and go away forever!The Patriot Thanks this. -
Most of these low pay crap carriers see us drivers just as Classic does...the proof is in their pay and benefits...or rather lack of both.

Did a load OH to GA. VA then back to Ohio. 3900.00 gross 3days out. 1627mi 1 drop hook on this run
Next load OH to IN back to OH Drop Hook bothends 1000 gross 340mi. Sameday
Next load OH NC Then SC to OH 3694.00 gross 1139mi. 3days out.
This load had detention of 8hrs 35/hr.
Total of 7 days out . Been avg. 1.10mi take home on all miles avg. 2600mi week. Avg more running on recap .
These are all company disp. Loads. I didnt pull any loads off load boards. This week.
Someplaces you might do better . Someplaces you might do worse. I worked at a company before here and was gonna lose the truck to bank writing was on the wall. At Classic im holding my own ive actually Dbl my operating capital in 3 months. But i live on a strict budget so there you go. -
As owner op been avg. 2800.00 take home after fuel.
Last 3 payrolls I have avg 3825.00 take home. Overall been doing well here. -
Next load Mo to Ohio 519mi 1400. Gross
