This is obviously an unconventional way to explore driving opportunities but while perusing the site I discovered this thread and thought what the heck, let's see what's out there.
About me: male, single, healthy ( current medical card), semi-retired, non-smoker, non-drinker, never involved with illicit nor prescription narcotics, just turned 50 living within 50 miles of Memphis. I hold a bachelors degree in the medical field and have a very strong lengthy professional background in aviation. Small agricultural business owner. CDL A, graduating from a comprehensive (2 month) community college driving curriculum that offered extensive road time. Will gladly provide contact information for my instructor who will provide a positive report of my performance. All paperwork for hazmat and tanker completed and can be added.
Driving experience: never had so much as a parking ticket in my lifetime, zero accidents. Hired out of school by what is considered by some as a reputable and respected organization that has a uniform and professional appearance policy. Promoted at 6 months to a division within the organization that is offered only to highly screened drivers. Overall, 10 months within the last year of day/night all weather OTR general commodity dry van operating primarily in the Midwest and Southeast with a great deal of time spent in Texas. I have driven solo into NYC once. Prided myself in making on-time deliveries and interfacing professionally with both shippers and receivers. Resigned from the organization and will gladly share privately the basis for this decision. DAC is clean showing eligibility for rehire.
What you can expect from me: mature, honest, dependable, strong work ethic, timely, safe, conscientious, hard working employee and defensive driver that can represent your company in a professional manner. An individual who can think logically and independently yet has a willingness to learn and is open to direction. Someone who will treat your equipment as if it were their own. I have safe parking on my farm if necessary.
I know of another web site/forum where relatively new drivers are routinely shredded for making any requests or having any expectations of their employer so at the risk of sounding like a crybaby, this is what I expect from you: An honest, open, fair minded employee/employer relationship. Mechanically sound and maintained, legal, reliable, clean, comfortable equipment. I will work my tail off for you but I'm not going to be utterly miserable in the process. Really enjoyed the auto shift but open to manual transmission with the understanding that my experience lies primarily with the former. E-log, APU, inverter, fridge preferred. I expect to be paid on time, as agreed, for miles driven. Ideally some weekly home time would be great, particularly during the summer months when the grass is growing but I'm willing to consider what might be offered. No weekly mileage demands but when it's time to work, it's time to work. I want to be productive and have my time used wisely, generating revenue for the both of us. I think my best day was 670 miles in a governed truck that included transitioning the Atlanta metroplex. If I recall I had 60 seconds left on the clock at shut down. Open to possibly teaming with another professional nonsmoking driver who likes to bathe.
I enjoy the challenges associated with and experience of being out on the road in a great truck. PM me if you think we can work together.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
