I heard they got took over by Pilot. What a shame. The one in Grand Island Neb was one of my regular stops when I was running across I 80. I guess Granma Max's will be replaced by a Subway.

Pilot bought them over 2 years ago. I believe their contract stipulates the restaurant remains.

The restaurant is still the same and the food really isn't too bad even if it is expensive, what isn't these days? I had a club sandwich and a glass of water last night and it cost me $9.30+ tip. I have to say the waitress was cheery and did make me smile. What I am disapointed with is the general bad attitude of the people over at the fuel desk and c-store. The grey haired old lady in Salina has been rude to me the last few times I was there for no reason. I guess she hates working there or something.

Bosselman didn't sell out to Pilot. In 2004 they entered into a license agreement for the travel centers. Bosselmans is still owned by the Bosselman family according to their website. The smaller stations (Pump And Pantry)
are still straight Bosselman like the one on 30 at the east end of Grand Island.
