I would highly suggest that you stay away from this guy. He doesn't know how to handle himself when someone leaves. It's been less than a month since I've left and he's broken all contact with me and he owes me money. Now I have no way of knowing whether or not I'll receive my final settlement. This is very unprofessional.

I am sorry to hear that. I hope it all works out for you.
-
Why did you leave if he says hes paying such a high weekly pay?
-
Because I can keep more of what I make at Landstar versus at his company. He isn't paying as much as he's letting on. I was getting 90% of the 77% he was getting. After all said and done I was getting 69% of the original line haul. That's wasn't as bad as the company he pulls his freight for has too much time on their loads and too much downtime in between loads. RPM was great but revenue per day was dismal.
tanker1045 Thanks this. -
As an o/o sounds like he was short changing alittle.
-
Well he sent me my final settlement and is paying me all monies owed. So I'm good on that front. Not real happy in how he just cut me off with no correspondence back and forth but it's whatever.

Most owner op contracts I've had say your final settlement isn't paid out until 90 days.
