I have more years under one than in them. But still need help with a thought. Im thinking about running 6 inch exhaust 2 foot after turbo pipe to rear of cab. I have a single behind cab stack. I know not cool, but I like light weight and they are way quieter back there. Its not quiet but in the cab it is. I know that standard single vs dual is only a 14 degree difference. Im just wondering if it would help flow and temp? Any thoughts welcome. Im am running a 12.7l dedec4. 518 horse to tires, 1650 torque. Have plans to go higher.

If you plan on going higher horsepower definitely go duals. Anything to help it breathe will help make some power with more fuel being put to it, and more fuel = higher egts, and if 14 degrees has the potential difference between melting metals and solid metals, go with duals. But mostly because it'll look cooler.

Im all "go" no "show". Yes it looks good but would add a 150lbs or so. I try for neat and clean.

You'd gain more by sending one out the bottom than 2 up the back. That 90 degree bend creates a lot of back pressure.

Dual it off, more horsepower = more fuel and air, if you put it in you have to get it out. If you are into performance air flow , air flow , air flow , keep it cool. 2 foot after the turbo the whole way will more than make up the difference on any turns, do the math. That is exactly where I am headed with mine next. 12.7 DDC3 525 horses 1750 torque right now, runs with my buddies 550 kitty all day long and I never see his tailights.
