A lot! Not a hard job, but that cooler is expensive. You'd be looking at around $1100 for all the parts needed. Then add in about 4-5 hours of labor. If it's really bad, add in a few more hours flushing the cooling system.
OLDSKOOLERnWV, Mudflaps and SAR Thank this. -
Yeah... My buddy was saying 4 to 5 k parts and labor smh I appreciate the reply grape ape

Not so much on the cooler itself. But labor intensive. I would turn it to a CAT location. They deal with it frequently and know the ins and outs and have all parts on hand if needed.
The basic labor rate per hour might be higher but at the end they will be faster than a random repair shop.
I think mine was $2900 Can a few years back.Mudflaps Thanks this. -
Bavarian, you hit it on the nose. took it to my mechanic he told me id be better off taking it to Cat because its a very labor intensive job and they would be able to knock it out faster. I dropped it off this morning called me within an hour with a 3100$ quote and should be done by Monday evening. Thank you for the reply

Good to hear. Even a $3100 quite a hitter pill to swallow.
What I like at CAT is their fix rate system. At least at the dealer I'm using. I know upfront what it's going to cost when the truck comes out of the shop.
The warranty is awesome. No if or but as long as the engine is in original condition.
