ive taken a couple short distances before. But extremely short for rescue type situations. They are out of that truck before they have a chance to cause trouble. -

Don't worry about the consequences that other driver and his unauthorized passenger face...that's on THEM. You had every right NOT to have to put up with that (not to mention, if it was your turn to drive when the DOT decided to inspect and discovered the unauthorized passenger, it would've been YOUR ticket!) Covering your own rear is NOT the equivalent of being a rat. A rat makes it his business to get others in trouble. You were merely making sure you stayed clear of trouble.

Oh and update, My DM just decided to have me run solo until he finds someone with similiar experience as me to take the truck when I go on hometime. I picked up a load that was running late because the guy's truck broke down and you guys are not going to believe this. After talking with him I found out he was the 3rd trainer of that nightmare of a driver. I also found out that the 3rd trainer kicked him off the truck on the 4th day being with him reason being he wasn't using the jakes on the mountains. Now the question is how was he allowed to upgrade to phase 2 with no trainer approvals? -
I have the same situation describe above here back in 2016. After 8 months of OTR service for .14cpm then .25cpm the company let me go for policy violation. To be specific someone snitched to them that I had a beer can at a hotel room. At first they thought it was in a truck but after I made it clear I was off-duty at a hotel room they still could not care. Long story short I was fired the following dayThe problem is they email me a bill stating I owe them $4995+ for training and lodging. I told them I aint paying them a dime. They are the one who let me go while I'm only left with one month to finish up that contract. I told them I have no problem with coming back to finish up that contract. The question is do u guys think there is hope they wll call me back to finish up that contract?
