Good! At least they left things alone instead of cutting the driving time or reset.

Seems they are only just approving the old rules to satisfy the court ruling.

    Thank goodness.

I saw Joan Claybrook quoted in both "The Trucker" and "Light And Medium Truck" quoted as saying "The intermin rules allow drivers to drive 11 exhausting hours a day 7 days in a row . " :biggrin_25512: How can that be when every newbie in orientation knows you can't drive after 70 hours in 8 days ? 77 hours just driving in 7 days without figuring loading , fueling , inspections ? This is the President of Public Citizen displaying her ignorance . These ranting "Safety" organizations consume way too much of the time of regulators and courts . They never have valid data to support their arguments .

They also twist the facts from the accident stats to suit their purposes.

Trucking May Face Trade-offs Barack Obama's election as president last week could lead to more transportation spending, but at the cost to trucking of more stringent regulations and White House support for labor legislation unfavorable to business, industry officials said.
