ok so my driver got pulled into the weigh station and got 5 violations.. 1. 4600 over on his drives (my fifth wheel for some reason will not budge) 2. Log book violation (on his part) 3. Bald tire (I have 2 spares under truck) 4. Fire extinguisher (driver used it two days ago, she said we had to buy a new one) 5. No windshield wiper fluid (I totally lost the whole cap) she issued me almost $400 in tickets... an advice would be nice. I'm new to this but I know I have to pay the tickets. What's the best way for me to handle these violations so that my safety rating doesn't change?

Fix everything on the truck and start doing safety checks every so often.

Driver should be fired and find a new one. All this is crap that's 100% avoidable..

When I bought the truck I was told the company had just replaced the fifth wheel... everything worked fine but now it's a problem. Is there anything I should check to see if I can get it to move? Or is there something I should replace? I'm trying to save as much as possible as I just had to pay $400 dollars on ignition repair .

Why not make the driver pay the tickets?
If you weren't in the truck when it got these violations then you shouldn't pay them.

    Mike2633 and Ladytrukr Thank this.

He's new, and we set up a payment arrangement already so I'm trying to cut him some slack this once... he only has one time to #### up, the next time it's on him fully

He's only had my truck since Monday, I seen it everyday before this because I drove. As for The tire, it isn't even actually bald but I sent someone to change it anyway. He is fresh out of "Prime trucking company" so I actually wonder what were they teaching him

The lady in the weigh station was truly being an ###, she shut another driver down because he didn't have 15 break and he's only been driving for 1hr when he got pulled over. She has 5 trucks sitting in the weigh station right now
