I'm at the TA in Mt. Vernon, IL tonight.
(Sorry about being on topic. I know it is shameful.)
I deliver tomorrow evening in Atlanta, GA, and then I have to head to the terminal for a bit inspection.
I hate having to get those things every 90 days. A real PITA.
My next home time is set for the 26th in MN, so I'll be hoping for a load getting me there (without a fight).
My sister flies back in on the 27th and I'm supposed to pick her up at the airport, so I need to get there on time.

That's funny I had home time last week (MN) and now I am sitting in Hudson with a 10 am in Woodbury and 1300 in Burnsville just in time for my 34. I had turned down 3 loads (timing) coming home and they gave me this so hey bonus home time.Moosetek13 Thanks this. -
Nashville, TN at the Love's.
Pretty cool day it was.
I was sent 2 pplans at 0330 this morning. I was ignoring them until I woke up at 0530.
When I got up I noticed a removal message was there for the first pplan, so I figured both were cancelled.
After reading them I went inside to get some coffee. When I returned there was a message to respond to the pplan.
The second one was still valid, so I took it.
Instead of leaving early this morning for a live load and then heading here for delivery before picking up the second load at 1700, I was able to come directly here and pick it up at 1500. 260 empty miles.
Very cool. (For me, but I'm not sure if it will be for the planner.)
I'm headed to Ottawa, IL for a 0530 live unload on the 27th. It doesn't look like I can get home in time to pick up my sister at the airport. Oh well, I guess her son will have to do it. -
Well, that was something.
I just saw a driver (I won't mention the name of the company, but it was not Swift) open his door and pee right there.
As he was doing it he was looking around to see who might be seeing it.
He forgot to look next door, until he came back in.
A shocked look was what I saw when he came back in and saw me looking at him.
I hope he walks in it when he goes out tomorrow.FLCRACKER Thanks this. -

Nice. And nice weather.tazman74 Thanks this. -
Swift should re-name the FUEL PRICES FOR OWNER/OPERATORS message to WHY WE DON'T SELL MUCH FUEL TO OWNER/OPERATORS.
Franktazman74 Thanks this. -
Maybe whoever is in charge of managing the fuel has no clue, and/or the fuel route program makes company drivers fuel at terminals too much (or maybe not enough)?
If they end up with expensive fuel in those tanks it could take a while to lower the volume enough to make a better purchase.
I'm not much help to them (or you, if that is the case, sorry) as I try to never fuel at a terminal. I'll drive 60 miles and call for it at a truck stop where I can get points and a shower credit. -
It's been awhile that the terminal prices were worth it ... Occasionally it's worthwhile to fuel at Syracuse ... But if you're heading west or coming from that direction you can always beat it at Jims, as well as a couple of other places in the area.
Heading to GA, on the shake down cruise. -
Where in GA? I'll be stopping in Madison tomorrow afternoon and deliver in Grovetown Wednesday at 11am.
Frank -
I'll be at the ATL Petro tomorrow and deliver Wednesday up by the 85/285.
