The real strike is already coming Dec 18. Thousands of small companies and owner ops and drivers are quitting. If they are going to work a factory job they will do it closer to home. Electronic logs and the hours of service will destroy our occupation

My family will have lots of groceries come December 18th because we are going to see shortages like most people have not seen in their lifetime when all of these trucks and drivers quit at the same time. Even if all of these drivers and companies didn't quit just the effects of loss of productivity would create shortages in and of itself. I pray that I am wrong.

Evidently most here don't even understand that they will either have an ELD in their truck on Dec 18th or they will have to park their truck. Very few exceptions to the rule. Have an ELD and drive less and make less money....simple economics. Will take a long time for freight rates to rise and offset the lost productivity an ELD will cause. Wait until you try to find a parking spot. LMAO......

Protest do have effects. I'm not driving this week. I won't be installing an ELD Dec 18th either. I'm already looking at other employment options. My truck and trailer is paid for. Not having to pay 550 bucks for 2290, not paying 1500 bucks for tag, not paying 8500 bucks for insurance, not paying 800 bucks for an ELD and 30 to 50 bucks a month for the service.......yeah......I think I come out ahead by not driving anymore.

Inadvertently I'll be a part of the protest... from where I sit now in sunny Costa Rica. I won't be back to work for another week.

We're in this situation because the rich paid/pays Congress to make laws that hurt the industry but benefit them. Just like we're seeing happen with the ELD mandate. This isn't rocket science and it surely isn't confined to just the transportation industry. We are being eaten alive from the inside out by Globalists and Marxists. Either you make a stand and/or look for cracks to use to your advantage. Otherwise, just kill yourself because you're already dead!
