I recently turned in my lease truck I broke the contract which is a walk away lease and brought my own rig to sign back on with the same carrier I was told the pay and some deductions would be the same and I don't have to sign any paperwork which is a red flag to me should I be concerned

I would think you would have to sign a new lease, not a fleece purchase but your lease to work for carrier, a lot of extra bs in the lease when fleecing than you signing on with your own rig...
-
That's what I was thinking I've never heard of someone not having to sign paperwork I'm trying to cover my own ##* they could say anything and say I'm getting paid this and when I argue I have nothing to back it up with

Anytime you lease to a carrier you need to have a signed (by you and the carrier) lease agreement (contract) so that both parties are covered. You need to read and understand the contract so that you are not signing a deal with the devil.
bullhaulerswife, Broke Down 69 and SmoothtruckerArt Thank this. -
And you should have a copy of that agreement with you in the truck.
bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
Yeah Oklahoma DOT asks to see that

If I remember correctly, it's actually a law that you have it with you in the truck.bullhaulerswife, redoctober83 and flood Thank this.

It's likely they just kept the same operating agreement (lease) and updated the vehicle information. Yes, they probably should have given you an addendum to sign. What carrier are you leased onto?SmoothtruckerArt Thanks this.
