I dunno, I was on some website the other night, watching, uh, some educational biology film, and I saw a scientific ad that says a single pill can do just that.
-
So, drive 4, sleep 11, drive back 4, sleep 5 is ok? Can you do that on elogs?
-
Find out about that pill @ChaoSS is talking about. MAYBE it can be done.

If you split break you have to look twice a day for a parking spot that is available and with minimum minutes left on your driving clock. If you do a 10 hour break you have that situation only once. With a 10 it is common to start looking for parking when you are down to 1 hr remaining to drive. On split break you have two 1 hr remaining periods a day.

This is what I'm doing now on paper but I've not had my logs inspected or pulled into the house since I started this dedicated run 2 months ago. Never really did splits like this since starting out.
It's a direct and I only deal with the shipper who gives me a check every week, even loaned me money, interest free, when I explained I was going to the bank to get a 3rd trailer, so that I could pay cash for a trailer. Adding the trailer let's me drop and hook instead of waiting for the lead or unload.
I can make the run by turning and burning but the truckstop at the receiver is much nicer than anything near the shipper. This is a Chicagoland run 5 days a week that is paying more than I was making in 2 weeks driving 30% more miles on. I pick up the loaded trailer at 11 am and go from Waukegan to Grand Rapids. The lunch traffic isn't so bad but coming right back the evening traffic blows. That is why I'm doing it this way now but am trying to figure a legal way to go to elogs and still avoid most of the traffic.
The shipper is looking into changing the production schedule so that I can leave at about 8pm and do the round trip at night and very early morning so doing the split won't be necessary. -
No, you don't have to take your 2 hour break with minimal time remaining, since you can only keep going on regular split for so long before other issues start getting in the way you can sort of walk the break backwards a bit without having any loss of time.

Perhaps I should start my own thread in the elog section...

No you don't really need to. At least not if you're going to disseminate incorrect information.
-
What incorrect information?
