I see this suggestion a lot. Do you know how many years it takes to fix bad credit? How many more years to stack up a down payment working a crap paying company job?

And how long after signing the lease will it take for a guy with no credit and no cash to make things much worse?

    You didn't answer the questions.

To answer yours, it took 4 years to pay off my lease and own the truck.

P.s. oh, and by the way, those on-time lease payments also boosted my credit score.

That would depend on just how bad a guy screwed his credit up. Could be a year, could be five.

I lasted 3 minutes. Between him slurping his drink, smacking his lips and taking a 2-3 second pause between every other word, by 2:45 i was ready to thrown a pee bomb.

he gets distracted by the live comments. that 2 1/2 hours could have been handled in about 10 min if that.

Who is this guy and what happened? I couldn't make it through more than a few minutes.

I noted his gripe about the rental charge "discrepancy" for the trailer, Orange charging a $1,000 a month and the rental place guy quoting $450 a month.

Trailer rental places obviously charge an additional mileage usage fee on top of the base rate.

    And you didn't answer mine.

Depending on his credit and cash flow, 2 to 7 years to rebuild great credit ratings.

My point was a guy with bad credit probably doesn't have a lot of business savey. Maybe an invalid assumption, but a safe one to make. He was upside down on truck and trailer, strike number 2. He d I sent have cash for a down payment which means he doesn't have a capital reserve fund for breakdowns/issues which need tissues. One I found the recurring bits of advice for new o/o is solid capitalization.

If he runs as a company guy for 1-2 years, saves up and plans he might have a decent chance. Right now he has a high likely hood of becoming part of the 40% who don't survive their first year.
