Sinking Nation Hunts for a New Home

Droughts and floods are becoming more extreme, and the overall world precipitation trends aren't really changing...yet the oceans rise...if the wacky scientists are perpetrating a global warming hoax, how do the oceans rise? Divine intervention?

 

A lot of our water is sequestered in glaciers and polar ice caps. As temperatures rise, the ice melts, dumping water into the oceans. A little Googleing will show you the change in the size of the Arctic ice cap. More of it melts each summer, and doesn't re-freeze in the winter. Greenland's glaciers are also disappearing at an alarming rate, and all that melt water has to go somewhere.

 

New Orleans sinks every year, but that's not because the oceans are rising, that's because the land is sinking. Those are coral islands, and unlike volcanic islands (like Hawaii) they don't grow. Maybe the islands are shrinking.
