It will be eventually. Just had a situation that was out of my control that has made prime unhappy it seems. Frustrating part is the person that caused the issue is no longer here, I just get to pay for his stupidity!

May I ask for input on this? Just watching, learning. I'm not driving yet.

The Trucking Exec. on youtube. Talked about a similar situation in Fla. with one of his drivers. He refused the load to the Broker. The pay on loads is way up right now. Huge waste of a drivers time to sit that long. Especially when they said it would be ready. Take it his driver was an O/O or L/O. He gave the guy a gift. Had him deadhead back to midwest. Pick up a load for $6 a mile. I take it thousand miles or more. He said there is no reason for this BS. The shippers can get their act together. Especially right now with the costs of freight. So many way overdue loads. All because of a lack of trucks.

I'm wondering about Prime's take on this? Changing? Or?
I have to say. Even myself. If I become a company driver for Prime. I'd be looking out for the company. I wouldn't want to sit that long. When the company could do the same as above. Make $6 a mile on a load. I don't need no downtime pay. ????

Prime isnt going to pay you $6/mile.. Even if they have an above average load they aren't paying you that, no mega carrier will.
They will take the load, take what they want off the top then pay out your 70% based on what they want to tell you the load pays..

Maybe the load actually pays $3.5k well they will take $1,5k right off the top then tell you the load only pays $2.5k and then will base your precentage off that..

That percentage pay from any carrier is ######## because they've already taken the profit off the top before giving you your precentage znd then they still take their cut out of what they tell you it pays... Why would they pay anyone $6/mile when you never saw the true cost of that load. You only see the precentage based on what they want you to see..

The load might pay $3/mile but by the time the 70% gets to you your lucky if it's $1.50.. Mega guys cant see the load boards so why would the mega carrier pay them top dollar?

Not bashing Prime here, but its the way this business works.. by the time you are getting your cut as a driver that load has been skimmed for profit before you ever see it,
