    Hmmmm, makes a body wonder. According to a good freind who is a employee of the steel plant I haul out of Warren owns that steel plant. Everything goes in and out by trucks.

    Except when we have another 2008, real estate will go back down.

    We are headed for the same old thing now, sub-prime lending, car companies diversifying to edge against a downturn in sales and the housing bubble being reformed.

    It would depend on the number of shares issued, etc. etc. More shares dilutes the value of the stock.

    I'm thinking it has a lot to do with one company having a stellar safety record and less than 1% service failure. Guess which one.

    It doesn't work like that.

    A $10 stock could be expensive while a $500 stock could be cheap. The associated dollar value is completely irrelevant.

    There are many different metrics to judge the value of specific industries. The general "go to" is p/e, price to earnings ratio. The price of one share divided by the earnings on a per share basis.
