    No customer freight available in my area so I booked a load in Ohio 153 loaded pays 1100 gross or 770.00 to truck.

    If your in a area with no customers or they booked all there loads you can get on boards find your own load . They like for you to get back to Ohio to service there customers but sometimes that doesnt work . So i know where there customer base is so ill book a load that area. VA SC PA OH IN . some loads pay well other pay not so well. If your in their area customers have priority.

    Sometimes brokers get desperate to move a load they have obligation to move a customers freight rates go up. This same load on Monday might only pay 500. But it is telling how far a broker will go to push a load

    Just as I thought.

    I called a few brokers on the loadboard just to sniff them out this weekend. Got the impression that if my MC was ready, they would have snapped me up right there and then. They told me to get my MC up asap and be on stand-by for weekend relief (which apparently there's plenty).

    We shall see.
