the used truck is like uncut watermelon. you can get bla bla bla reports for $25, do dyno, get DOT-ed( hahahaha), ask for maintenance history from Jose or Ivan.... you won't be covered from future disasters. Buy a oem offered warranty for engine, aftertreatment for 1 year/100000 miles.

Is because they have a hard enough time turning a short truck much less a hood.

Find a decent 379 long hood with a rebuilt series 60 and a 13 speed

A visual inspection and a road test is good enough if you know what your looking at as well. If your staring at a Volvo with a Mercedes or some crap you might as well flip a coin.

Dude, if he's asking what kind of truck to buy he doesn't need a hood. He needs something with good visibility.

Fair point but I was talking about Petes in general, not hoods specifically. Pete 386 wheelbase is almost identical to Cascadia.

Until the cracks come. The 386 hoods break around the hood hinges all the time.
