I make abou 1100 to 1200 a week gross, but get 200 ish a week in per deim. So my gross pay could be a tad bit more. Maybe 1300 or 1400 if I didn't get per diem. Usually run about 2500-3000 miles a week

I only ask because while my company is pretty amazing, I've always lamented the trucks. We have Columbia's, cascadias, and recently tag axle Volvos. All are "lightweight" models. They are reducing fuel capacity on new trucks as well. Recently a guy driving a brand spankin new pete 379 was talking to me. He works for a small tank outfit I've seen around my area. He said all trucks are company trucks, and they run only 379s. He let me hop up and check the inside out and boooy was it nice. Nicest thing I've ever sit in. It was a glider so no Def and governed at 75. Never thought of leaving my company until I saw that truck.

Only downside is they run only fat on the tankers. It would mainly be Midwest regional crap, where as know I do all 48 except the northeast. But man...that hood was nice!

I run Texas regional and still do 3000 a week easy. I gross between 1400-1500 a week at. 43 cpm. Sometimes I gross more, sometimes less. We run peterbilt 579's.
There are alot of companies running hoods for tanks. They're ok. I don't care for them.

If your current equipment is mechanically sound and you never have issues getting stuff legal and fixed and you love your current company, I wouldn't give the 'pretty trucks another thought.

See? There ya go~! ;) Be safe with whatever you are driving, man. I commandeer this gal, and a couple 'condo' Pete's bigger than.... every day in and out of Asphalt plants. It's all what you make it. Yes, the road ride is sweet.

Not picking on ya, man, just having fun. To each our own; I just prefer Iron, is all.. and I'm pretty sure I can turn her where you can turn yours'ns!

Be safe, bro. No harm, no foul. If you are out here pulling tanks, KUDOS to that, in itself. We are underrated, for sure... but at least we aren't underpaid, too!

The 579 turns the same. Then next time I drive a Cascadia or a Volvo, I'm probably going to roll it the first time I turn it

My cascadia is jumpy on the highway. Empty or loaded. I should probably get new shocks.
