I have a red abs light on in my 2001 freightliner century.. Trying to pinpoint if it is a fuse or a sensor. When i turn the key to position 1 i hear all the valves clicking so the check is there.. but the light stays on during position 1 and continues to stay on when engine is on. Can i reset it with a magnet or do i need a computer reset?

Probably have to fix it. You probably need a computer to see what the ABS system is saying is not working.

o ok.. I havent even started the truck on a route yet since its my first truck.. I replaced the rear brakes but we have an inhouse mechanic and he doesnt have a cpu so im trying to avoid the $150 dollars to have it checked out and was thinking about just making my first trip and making money to then do it.. Hopefully d.o.t wont be so picky but I know how they are

Check your sensors and wiring. Could have had a sensor get knocked during the brake job. Push the speed sensors in all the the way towards the hubs and take it for a quick drive. If the sensor was just misadjusted, that should fix it. The drive is so that the computer recognizes that the sensor is now working. If that doesn't work, will probably need to plug it in.
