Nobody?...youtube doesn't help...

It's not that you are being ignored. But no one who can help you has seen this. I'm not sure that anything is available for what you want.
You might want to see if you can find a friendly trucker who will let you look at the one in his truck. I'm not at all sure that trying to video the qualcomm would work, due to the size and type of screen on it. -
What are you wanting to learn about the Qualcomm units?
-
The features of it...how the messages for loads look...what type of info about the load will you see...everything...i wanna know and see what it does...or atlead hear someone talking about it...
-
You may want to specify what company(ies) you are interested in. Each company may have its own dispatch look. I don't know, I'm just sayin'.

The qualcomm just an ugly tiny little laptop. Most companies use general macros for communication like arrived at shipper or im empty message. Load info messages will usualy just give you the shipper info adress and pick up time reciever info delivery date and time and mileage for the trip. Other then that there just basic communication devices.

Minus- The Qualcom is the very last thing that should be on your mind. It's just a laptop with the ability to send msgs. to your company. No big deal. Your biggest challenge right now after operating skills should be learning how to plan a trip from point a to point b and how to run a legal log book. Do you have a Rand Mcnally road altas? Pick a city on the east side of the country and a city on the west side of the country. Then plan out your trip. Get a log book and log the entire trip following all the laws set up by the fmcsr and the company you plan to work for. This will be the job you wll be doing as long as you are driving a commercial motor vehicle. Now if you have any questions feel free to go to my profile page and PM me with any concern at all. Peace.

I am sure you could put in a request via qualcom for that information and they would probably be glad to give it to you. Ask your company?
Each company could have different ways of having it be viewed to.
Some have more information than others.
I could at some point show you how the truck records your vehicle movement.
It can ping you every hour and gives you the location where you are (or closest to the tower you are), how many miles you went in that hour and the speed limit. Some companies might ping you every 15 min, 30 min, etc.
If your in an accident the qualcom records will be pulled and DOT/attorneys can make out a log via the qualcom records to see what you "really" did that day. Remember accidents happen we don't plan them so you want to be legal at all times so you are not thrown in jail over running over your hours of service because someone pulled out in front of you!
Be carefull that's all I am saying

Looks like most of the responses have clued you into it. The part in the cab of the truck, is about the size of a laptop. It has a built in keyboard, and a lcd screen about 3inches x 5inches.
Nothing but letters and numbers will you ever see on the screen. So, don't ever think about trying to pull up a porn website. It's not for that kind of thing.
It is only for transferring information between you and your company. It is expensive, too. The company I worked with that used them, told us to keep messages short and to the point. If you needed to convey more information use the phone. And, if they want to try to convice you to do something that isn't right they will send you a message telling you to CALL them on a phone. Like driving even if you are out of hours.
Load assignments just show the name, address, and a phone number of the company where you will pick up, and the same info where you will deliver. The company I drove for, also sent a suggested route. If you needed exact directions to shipper and/or receiver, you had to send in a request. And, if it was in there, you'd get it. Can't trust it, though. Most of the time, the directions in the system were supplied by a driver who had already been there. And, they may not have given the correct directions. I got lost more than once, and sent in corrections after I called the shipper or receiver, and arrived. Not to mention, if the company had moved, and nobody revised the directions.
Also, the pickup and delivery dates and times.
You could also send and receive emails. But, like I said, it is EXPENSIVE. You have to get a card, and put money on it. Like a prepaid phone card. Every character in your email will cost you money. Didn't take me long to buy a $1,400 laptop, so I could save money on Qualcomm charges.
Anyway, that is pretty much it in a nutshell. Good luck to your driving future, maybe I'll see you out there.
