    Are you solo or team???

I got mine (at wal-mart) for a total cost of about $50 and about 1/2 hour work. The original was modified to fit my laptop exactly. It also doubles as a desk when my laptop is not on use :D

I keep planning to post the pics within the forum. But I wind up leaving my SD adapter in the truck :(

Mine requires no bolting or modification to the truck. And can be removed/installed in under a minute.

You can see a partial pic here http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...94u/albums/just-some-pics/838-missioncontrol/

I've run a laptop for over 3 years in my 4 wheel. I made a mount, a quick and dirty picture is here:
This drawing is not to scale. I use heavy duty velcro from radioshack to hold the computer in place. The laptop can be removed from the mount easily, and the whole sytem can be removed in 5 minutes. It's made of plexiglass for the flat parts, and iron pipe and flange from the hardware store. The seatbelt of the passenger seat holds it in place, if you run it through the gap where it says "Flange". The key is getting the angle of the seat right. Also put some padding in the area where it wedges between the seat and back so the cover doesn't get ripped.

I've used this for several years, and it's still as stable as when I started. I have had to add a small modification of a wood block to keep the top from turning under acceleration or braking. It's just there to hold the top plexi in place. Two screws top and bottom hold it nicely. I could have used more plexi and some cyanoacrylate glue, but I didn't feel like buying more to make one small item. Wood works just as well, I had a scrap piece of cherry laminated plywood.
