2015 Volvo D11 305,000 miles
Problem: Truck runs great and has been well maintained, every 30-45 minutes it starts sputtering up hill under a load and empty. Pull over shut down, restart and truck is fine.
So far we have:
Replaced #2 cylinder injector... did no good
Replaced wiring harness for DPF... again no help
Cleaned and wiring to oxygen sensors in exhaust system
This is becoming a real problm and is costing a fortune to not have it fixed and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same issue here. Engine fault light coming on.
-
have you checked your fuel tanks it sounds like something is blocking the pick up tubes i had this same thing happen on a truck i was called out to work on one day and someone had put a pair of women's underwear in each tank the guy said i was the only that solved the problem i think he made some enemies at the truck stop

Maybe gelled fuel? Or old fuel? Or perhaps opened a tank that which have not been opened in a long time?
It's starving for fuel somewhere. I don't know enough to proceed any further. -
I also have the shaking problem on a 2012 D11 I-Shift. It happens while in 12th gear around 1100rpm. RPM will also go jump up and down by about 75rpm as this is happening. It gets especially bad while on an incline. Goes away as soon as I let off throttle or transmission downshifts to 11th gear.
Has codes for voltage/short on cylinders 1 and 3.
EGR mass flow rate
Turbo Boost Pressure
I've heard that a bad engine wiring harness causes this problem. Has anyone had success replacing only the harness? -
harness would be my guess from the info given

Water in fuel. It's happened to me many times

Mine would bog down like this. If you stomped on it,driving(when it was bogging down) or parked after it bogged down, large clouds of black smoke would come out from under the truck. After you killed it and turned it back on,everything was fine. I made it over the Rockies and in to Denver buy killing it while rolling and starting back up.
It was a bad turbo. The code was 'VTG turbo charger actuator position' -
its probs a fuel problem, had this on a c13, turned out air was stuck in fuel lines, or sometimes when you fill up your tanks all the way to the top, also check your fuel filter

Sounds like injector cups. Have you tested for air in the fuel return line? RPM flutter is a symptom as is losing prime (long cranking before eventually starting) MPG goes to horrible and engine sounds bad under load.
