So as far as this deliver goes, so I try to make it or Not? I know that if there is no traffic I can be there in about 3 hours 30 mins bit that's cutting it slim.
200 miles on a 4 hr clock?!

But now you're learning the importance of conserving time. Every minute will be very valuable at some point.
Don't waste time with extra unnecessary stops. Each time you stop, you lose a minimum of about 6-8 minutes, much longer if your backing skills suck. Don't get lost and miss exits. These little mistakes cost valuable time against all your clocks.
Keep your fueling and PTI's and other on duty periods to the minimum where your safety department will let slide. You might be surprised what you can get away with at a company who has the freight and coordination to keep you moving good.
Keep an eye out for extreme backups and learn to judge if a possible deviation may probably save time. Avoid hitting metro areas during peak traffic periods if at all possible.Last edited: Oct 26, 2017
pattyj Thanks this. -
Stop now. Start driving at midnight to get to Atlanta before morning rush hour. Lay low around your stop until it is time to deliver. Driving at midnight will save a lot of time on your clock. You will also get your ten in.
Trucker61016, IluvCATS and nax Thank this. -
