I did look up your "facts" and according to Swift, unless you are a mentor you can expect less than $49,000 a year with 3 years in, which 5 years is the top pay year and tops at $.41(unless you are a team, then $.42) per mile BTW and according to their stats, their driving course costs $3900 and they take 26 months to pay that back to themselves which is $150 a month and if you quit in less time, then you are responsible for what they didnt pay back. So at Swift's own figures for a 1 year driver-the pay is $.33(West), $.35(East), $.36(Team), you have to be there 2 full years to get $.34 as a West driver. BTW, $.34 comes out to $44,200 a year at approx 2500 miles per week(which you wont average at Swift) That means on year 3 you will average approx that. You think that is good money??

YuP!
That's right.
HaiL!
I'm afraid of Forum STAFF.
No WAY I could BE one.
I'd only scare myself.
HeY!
I'm a baaadd man ------->
But I ain't stoopid.
I KNOW when to be afraid.
And whom to be afraid OF.
Besides, Staff does a marvelous job doin' what they do.
I'd only pale in comparison.
And I have an image to protect,
doncha know.
Now, where'd I put my cape? :smt102
OH!
There it is.
DaD-Gummit!
One of my yellow cats slept on it last night!
Well, ....... I reckon it's off to the cleaners to
have 'em remove all the yellow hair.
Again.
I swear,
they oughta give me a discount.
Without me, they'd go outta business.
Hmmmmmmm ---
MAYbe I oughta get me a
(slightly) faded, purple CAT.
Ya reckon.
But, right now I have other thangs to be concerned about, ......
like increasing my THANKS percentage, by about 5%.

WoAH!
How dare you "attack" Swift with your "negative" facts?
Have you no problem with the truth?
I ain't smellin' no bovine excrement in your posts, Tim.
How do you 'spect the flowersto grow if you don't
spread a little BullSugar?
walleye Thanks this. -
What would we do without AfterShock and his (slightly) faded purple cape?

Look at it from MY side of the mirror.
What would I do without my
(slightly) faded, purple cape? :smt102
I feel nekkid without it.
OH!
WaiT!
No WONDER!
I haven't put my bright (but not hot) speedos on,
yet. :smt087
I wonder which cat slept on THEM?
Probably my BIG black cat.:smt012

Lease purchase plans--that is how they work. You rent the truck from THEM, so you can deliver THEIR freight and THEY hold everything untill you pay THEM off, and then THEY tell you that your truck is now too old to be in their fleet, so your rental with THEM starts all over again. And BTW, THEY charge you THEIR price for the truck, not what it is actually listing for--THEY dont want you to see that because you figure out quick that THEY just SCREWED YOU.
ALways buy your own truck and take it somewhere and lease it on if you want to be an O/O, never RENT from THEM. -
I get the impression that PawPaw isn't really interested in
"learning" ANYthing.
Instead, he'll consider your information to be an "attack" on his
beloved Swift.
There are none so blind as those who would walk a mile in
another's shoes, and still not smell the coffee brewin' on the
greener side of the fence.
Or, sumthin' like that.
I forget.
Memory, second thang to go,
doncha know.
Thanx for your post, TW.
Perhaps SOMEone will learn SOMEthing from
your "negative" information.
And not be confused by the "facts".
walleye Thanks this. -
