smaller truck stops aren't bad. I avoid the mega chains , especially Pilot/ Flying J. all the rookies mega drivers are in there, because they have to be. fuel discounts.
ramps, rest areas, scales are all good. I carry food and water. Am surprised by the amount of drivers that don't carry even dry or canned food for emergencies.

You might not want to stay at truck stops, but where do you plan to shower?

I would be very careful parking at the Petro in Atlanta GA, this weekend a driver from a company called load runner, in a t-680 white one, tried to get into my tank, he is traveling with a girl, the way it works is the girl would knock on your truck as we all know for what, but it is to see if you are there, so he play is music very loud to cover what is taking place, what made me got up was that the truck stop had a lot of parking so why come so near me to park, after I got up and start my truck to move he took off, only to come back and hrs later to park and try again, the second time I moved my truck, so be aware of what is taking place there , when we are working hard to feed our family and low life bum looking to take from us while you are a sleep, let me tell you going to prison is not what I am looking for but it may just be that

I look for mom and pop places, or small gas station chains. Walmart and or Meijer's up here in Michigan will do in a pinch too. But, I don't go anywhere. Not dedicated, but I stay within 100 miles of the house.

I’m home most nights but I go out overnight here and there.

I usually park at the truck stop with the best food and showers. Sometimes I’ll park in a field by the fertilizer plant and wake up get loaded then stop at a truck stop after.

    Justrucking2 and Lepton1 Thank this.
