Ask any linehaul driver at old dominion or Saia. Or many car haulers that run in the rite areas.
I don't care enough to give you "proof" but I promise I know from experience that there are a lot of driving jobs that pay in excess off 100k a year for company drivers. And owner operators that make 400k a year and net over 150k.
If you are willing to be an above average driver you can make above average pay!Bob Dobalina Thanks this. -
There are plenty, but not "a lot" in the grand scheme of things. UPS is a good example. Plenty of LTL linehaul drivers also in that ballpark, home every day.Toomanybikes and VTech Thank this.

There could be more if drivers would quit settling for less.Last edited: Oct 29, 2017

WE have several that come close to $100k. They work 15
to 18 hours a day. I don't want to work that hard......I want
to have a life away from my job.....also it is not legal. One of
these days they will get busted and I don't think the money
is worth the risk. -
As they say "when I see a story on CBS I always ask 'wow, what if that is true?'"ChaoSS and Getsinyourblood Thank this.

Toss in owner operators that either have their own authority or are leased to a decent outfit that pays a percentage and there are a LOT of drivers making over $100K a year that are home every night or most nights.
-
What's a LOT? From the same data set that CBS got their number from, the top 10% make over 63k or about 170,000 drivers.
