No you haven't done the math so don't mislead people. Their is no concoction of the CPM per-diem that returns the same money to the driver as the driver taking the deduction himself.

Add to the injustice, most of these trucking companies take an accounting fee of $.02 CPM just because they can.

The only way per-diem could benefit the driver is by the company handing over the full per diem allotment 80% of $68 (for 2017) or $54.40 for each and every day a driver is out wether a load moves or not. Very, very few companies do that. Almost none.

Lol OK if you like less money in your pockets. How do you dispute tax free money?

Ask anyone that know anything about this and you'll see Noone Gets even 50 bucks a day back on taxes. At 50 bucks for 300 days is 15000 unless you have a ton of kids you ain' getting anywhere near that back. Ive done the math. Per diem more net non per diem more gross.

Some owners of smaller trucking companies have posted on here they do exactly that. Walmart pays a daily stipend, not sure the sum, but something close to that.

300 day out x $54.40 = $16,320. Which is far more tax-exempt money then anybody is paying per-diem in CPM. It has to be by stipulation of the tax code.

Apparently you are confused; it is not a tax rebate. It is a tax deduction.

And, If you did your math you would know this.

Well written, and research has shown that you are 100% correct in your assessment of the company K& B. It is nice to see an intelligent person writing the truth, and correct information in this forum.

From what your yearly total taxable income.

Your not paying any income taxes?

In our above example with 300 days out in 2017 the government allows you to earn $16,320 exempt from income tax.

Consider that a gift from the government to you as a truck driver. Now, K&B or any company that is paying per-diem, is essential buying that tax free allowance given to you by the government for CPM. Which, by stipulation of the tax code, has to add up less then the $54.40. They are stiffing you.
