Google SID 21 fm3 and you will see this exact topic pop up on this website. This code has been answered in 2011 and 2013 by PabloUA. It says something about the crankshaft position sensor or the wiring to the harness at the cylinder head. Seems like cheap parts, just a little labor involved.

    Mdflann915 Thanks this.

I removed the engine positions sensor (AKA engine speed sensor there are two on my truck) and the one at cam location had a broken tip with wire receptiors all freyed and strung out, the tips are made of plastic with a tiny metal receptor. After replacing that my truck now starts quickly and normal (like 1-2 seconds of cranking) whereas it was taking 4-7 full seconds of cranking before it would start with the broken tip engine speed/position sensor.... But my truck still does the randomly start running choppy after 20 minutes or 50 or sometimes not for a whole 2 hours. I turn the truck off crank it back and it runs normal and then starts running choppy later. repeat.
