Last quarter my mpg was 9mpg. I believed it because I drive 55, pull kinda light and I have a light truck with an M11. This quarter I got 6 1/5. Nothing has changed. I major rechecked all my figuring. I will have to have it looked at, but I was wondering if there was anything I could check that was simple, or if there's any comments. Thanks.
What happened to my mpg?

Part of it will depend on what kind of mileage you are covering. The more data you have to work with (miles travelled, gallons consumed) the more accurate your calculations will be.
A significant change like you are mentioning, though (~33%) would suggest to me that you have either misentered or completely omitted some data through oversite. -
do you park the truck somewhere that somebody could just be stealing some fuel every once and a while. Anything mechanical to cause that much of a change would be noticable
-
The tanks are locked and show no signs of tampering. Truck is only left alone randomly here and there.
I checked EVERY fuel receipt several times to make sure I only had July, August and Sept. I re-added gallons several times. I meticulously went over and re-over my entire miles/route for the 3 months. I keep coming up with basically the same thing. I just don't think it would be possible to get 6.5 mpg with a M11 going as slow as I do, and with as many light loads as I manage to get. Does anyone else think it would be possible to get that with a healthy truck? Anyone have any ideas of any mechanical things that could be wrong? -
You're seeing the same thing I am.
I suspect it's the blend of fuel. Ever since the winter blends have hit the market, I've noticed a serious decrease in MPG. Up to 2 mpg in some cases.
I don't know what the #### is going on. I've never seen a reduction like this myself.
All my gauges reflect the fall off in mpg.
yes, yes I know about high winds during winter months...don't go there.Big Duker and The Hardcard Thank this. -
July, August and Sept purchases though........

Can't help you there. Unless you passed through MS during September. We released our winter blends early this year, by executive order of the Governor.
I'm willing to bet, you were shorted at some stops though. If you do a quick search. You'll find MANY fuel stops that were investigated over the past few months, over pump tampering. -
I am just curious what truck, trans and gears do you, how much HP is your M11 putting out?
