To the OP.
As according to Day & Ross Inc. Drug and Alcohol Policy
4.1.2
“the legal use of prescribed drugs is permitted on the job only if it does not impair an individual's ability to perform the essential functions of the job effectively and in a safe manner that does not endanger other individuals in the workplace.”
D&R does allow for prescribed drugs like Medical Cannabis as long as it does not impair you while performing safety sensitive services for them.
I am a Driving Broker contracted by D&R and I use CBD containing 25mg/ml; 25% CBD-2mg/ml; 0.2% THC during day time and THC containing 14.9% THC-0.07% CBD at night time. You will be required to provide D&R with a signed statement from the prescribing physician where he/she states that you will not be impaired while performing safety sensitive services, you will also have to provide D&R with a copy of your prescription, copy of your medical card (if you have one) or bottle label identifying you as a prescribed user. You will also have to sign a document similar to this.
"I confirm that I will abide by my physician’s instructions respecting the prescription for medical cannabis, and specifically that I will only use medical cannabis containing the non psychoactive ingredient CBD during work hours. I also confirm that I will only use medical cannabis containing the psychoactive ingredient THC during my off duty hours or while in sleeper berth and that I will not perform any safety sensitive services on behalf of Day & Ross Inc. for at least 8 hours after consumption of medical cannabis containing the psychoactive ingredient THC. I agree that I have had the opportunity to seek independent legal and medical advice before signing this confirmation, and am signing this confirmation freely."

Maybe you don't drug test but you know, or at least should know, that most Canadian companies have drug testing for safety and security sensitive positions.
Medical marijuana is a joke if you are smoking it, no doctor in his right mind would prescribe you to smoke something.
Let the flaming begin!Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
And that is why they recommend the use of a vaporizer instead of smoking it.

Not quite. Most will suggest oil or capsules. Much easier method for patient to control dosage. MedReleaf is a Canadian provider.

I use Tweed for dry Cannabis and Canntrust for CBD oil.
Both provide excellent service and delivery to the door.
Vaporizing cannabis emits a vapor that is almost 100% smoke and carcinogen free, which is why physicians recommend vaporizing over traditional smoking. Vaporizing dry cannabis only heats up the cannabis to the point where it releases the cannabinoids so one can inhale them without the additional harm of inhaling combusted smoke gases containing non-cannabinoid elements. Not that it really matters to me personally as I am a tobacco smoker, but the physician recommended vaporizing instead of smoking as it would benefit me more when it came to inhaling the medicinal cannabinoids/terpens, plus as I am a smoker it doesn't do more harm than it already does with me smoking. Have in mind that we're not talking about sitting there on my bunk, smoking like a madman and getting high. My day time medication dosage is 0.5ml CBD x 3 and my night time medication dose is .25 gram THC so it's not like I'm high as a kite.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
I really appreciate the info about day&Ross I'm hoping in the future more companies will start doing this. Thère is hope lol. Maybe I won't have to suffer much longer.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

It says on the bottle do not operate heavy machinery.
end of story.
That's why you're a broker and not a driver.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -

Somehow I knew you would pop up and speak your wisdom or lack thereof...
I am a DRIVING BROKER, period!!
In case you do not comprehend what Driving Broker means, it mean that the company owner is also the truck driver and since I own my company and truck and I also drive the #### truck, I reckon that would make me a.... driving broker?
There is NOTHING on the bottle saying "do not operate heavy machinery", it does say on the container label "IMPORTANT: Please read the Health Canada document provided with this package before using this product" and that's about it.
Now, having said that, it is however common sense to not drive while impaired regardless of what substance it is that makes you impaired. If you somehow believe that any trace amount of THC in your system equals impairment, I reckon you also would believe that the motion picture "Reefer Madness" is a well credited documentary too. Judging by your previous posts in this specific thread, you really should do some research before you lecture other people about matters you have very little to no knowledge about, otherwise it makes you look like a ####### who think he knows it all. Not that it matters much to me anyway as to me you are merely some pixels on my screen and doesn't really affect my life in any way. My life goes on with or without you.
