I put 6 new Monroe shocks on my truck right after I bought it. Within a couple weeks, the right rear shock had blown out. I got it replaced under warranty, and about 8 weeks later, the same shock is blown again. The truck is a 2003 w900L with the AG380/Flex Air suspension. The truck rides like a dump truck and has a bounce that comes and goes. I also put 10 virgin tires all the way around and had the balance checked after the first shock blew. Suspension bushings seem fine, 4 new air bags, right height ok per kenworth. No visible damage to any components. Also had the tire shop lift the axles and spin all the drives, they said everything looked good. Thoughts?

I would take it to some place that specializes in suspension, not tires. If you're through Illinois at all, I'd recommend Burke Spring & alignment (http://www.burkespring.com/). Two locations. One just off I-74 on IL-1. And one not far off I-70 in Terre Haute, IN. Good folks that won't try to cheat you out of your socks.

Shoot. Call them up. They may even give you a good idea what the issue is over the phone. Won't know til you ask.

Thanks for the info. I go through Terre Haute a lot, so maybe I'll get in touch with them there.

My 2006 volvo 630 does the exact same thing. I cannot get the right rear shock to go more than a few months before the dust cover breaks. Shock is still good on mine but I have to weld or replace it.

My truck shakes also. Changed everything besides the axles and it still shakes.

I remember this thread and curious if OP did figure out what the issue was. I have an AG380 too but mine rides smooth as silk. Original bushings too 1.4 million the only ones that are new that have been replaced are the crossbars but it never had rough riding issue unless there was bad tire(s) or shock(s).
