One of the reefer outfits I drove for; a driver showed up for work wearing steel toed sneakers and the dispatcher told him to go home and return wearing steel toed shoes. He said, these are steel toed and show it to me in writing that these aren't acceptable. The dispatcher looked in the manual, and sure enough, nothing that says they can't be worn, so he just laughed it off.

Yep. Those what I have. The tops on mine might be a little higher than those though. Mine go above the ankle a little.
Wear whatever is comfortable and you feel safe driving in.
As far as I know, my company has no requirements on shoes, these are just what I'm used to.

If Brahma goes out of business, I'm spending a paycheck on buying shoes all over the area so I have them for a while lol

Yeah they are below the ankle not what I really wanted but I think these had the best look for a 30 buck pair of shoes. These are slip resistant too which is good for us getting in and out of these trucks in wet and snowy icy weather.

All that stuff I did too. Good thinking about calling your bank. I did that. Also you might be calling your cell carrier about data plan upgrades soon. It’s nuce to have data for apps and YouTube. I also recommend a giant duffle bag.you will go from bus to hotel to training truck to your own truck and to terminal and back a lot.

I have those same shoes. I prefer to boots. I don't like driving in boots but these are fine to drive in. Had a guy stand on my foot once to verify they were steel toe but otherwise not had a problem.

I loved the safety policies we had in So. Cal. They informed us. We made the decision. We held all responsibility for the decision. On steel toes. We had stuff that would crush steel toes, easily. Or catch that toe, hold it, bend it over. Because the object was being moved slowly. Otherwise we might be able to get our foot out. It was our decision.
Steel toes are awfully cold in the north during winter.

I'm close to this same situation. It's a bunch to take care of. I'm taking care of it. Leaving the house with six outdoor security cameras. Only two will not be watched by two other cameras. If someone wants to disable those two. They are so high. The person will have to identify themselves, extremely well to those camera's before disabling. Will be able to watch them from my iPhone. It will be recorded on the internet.
