I've only been late for home time 3 times, 2 times it was another drivers fault (swap set up driver rolled on by), and 1 time it was there fault, bad load planning. Ended up in NM waiting on a load to DFW.

Time 1 was thanksgiving last year, was supposed to be home 22nd, which I was planning to spend the first thanksgiving with mom since i was like 17 and we were on a load to PA, we were set to swap load in Tennesse with another truck who had ld to FL where home time was on he 21st. Driver rolled by, dispatch called next morning and profusely apologized for the delay, he said HIS boss was on his back about it and promised they had a load going right to FL but the PA load would be late now if they didn't keep a team on it and we were the only team around. So we agreed to deliver it, mom was miffed but not to miffed, and we did get a load right back to FL and got there the day after thanksgiving. They sure made sure they got us there ontime for christmas though we were early by 2 days lol.

I don't remember the exacts of the second time but I remember there was a swap setup and driver rolled by and we were late home by a day. Most of the time we get home early.
