CA Permit - How To...

    MS truck, single owner LLC, wants to get CA Permit so he can carry intra-california loads.
    Anyone know if he has establish an LLC in CA to do so, and what agency (DMV, CA-DOT, etc) does he start with?
    Also, he owns a house in CA.
    Any info greatly appreciated.

    Go to the Secretary of State and file LLC. You don't need to pay anyone else to do it for you, they overcharge people all the time. Most states charge something like 50.00 to establish a new LLC. I did mine online with State of Arizona myself in an hour.

    CA LLC costs $800 per year, no exceptions for operating in the red...That's how I understand it.
