THIS COMPANY IS PART OF FFE WHICH IS A REEFER HAULER THAT MEANS YOU WILL PULL A REEFER AND BE UP ALL NIGHT WITH THAT REFRIG GOING ON AND OFF. FFE SAYS THAT WE ARE ALL ONE COMPANY AMEAGLE LISA AND FFE RUN FROM THIS COMPANY
-
No matter which co. you hire on with your FFE. Their fine by me. Same as most other co.s
-
FFE, reefer.....Lisa, reefer.....American Eagle, dry van......All under the Conwell Corp. umbrella. All pull each others trailers, if needed.

How long ago was it when you worked for them? They still have trucks with A/E and Lisa but it's all FFE owned and you pull whatever they give you. I hate the #### company. Every company driver I've spoken with (which was many) all say the same #### about the company and the biggest complain besides sitting is having to fight with them for their paycheck or money owed and they screw you big time out of miles. This last time when I took the truck back to the yard all the mechanics were ######## that they had to take a pay big pay cut. A couple left and several other's were fixing to quit because they were tired of the #### and some have been there 10 year's or so. I had to take a pay cut when I went back the second time. First time with them I was started at $.32 and the second $.31CPM.

Oh the burdon that has been lifted off my shoulder's when I quit. When I left my DM patched me over to someone in upper management for an exit interview and the guy asked why I was leaving and I told him all the BS in detail and he was trying to BS me into staying saying "we are the best company out there right now" so I started popping off questions to him and he tried diverting every question because he either couldn't answer it or had a lie towards it.

Read through these two thread's. It's alot to read but it will give you everything you want to know because I don't think there was a single topic missed. And yes I worked for Prime too which is in the second link.
I've noticed a few the like it at FFE but noticed they were rookies fresh out of school and don't know any better about what is going on over there. They just think making a check and driving a truck. There not deep into the business end yet where you discover where all the ###### up #### is going on. Hope this helps. -
Yup, and night and weekend dispatch blowing up your phone asking for favors and won't use the QC. I just ignored them.
My miles sucked ### big time and they knew it. I told them I was going quit several times and they promised me more miles. The miles got better that week and dropped back off until I said I was quitting and the process repeated it self again several times. And yes the high val loads suck and you have to work 3 times harder than normal.
9/10 load's they gave me were "HOT" but when I got there the customer was in no big hurry leaving me to sit for hours or drop it on there lot to get to it 3 day's later. (I've seen this at Atlanta bonded in Norcross, GA. came back the next week and the same trailer I brought down from Chicago was still sitting there with the same seal in the same place I dropped it)
This was a common problem. I would do my daily check call (which I only did once a day not twice because I didn't want them tracking me on the second wherever I was at the time) I would get a preplan and note well in advance that I couldn't make the appt. time but they would give me the load assignment anyway and I'm getting close to my 70 for the week.
Not on the subject but I can say this is where I argued with them alot about the milage they shorted me on espacially the run from Lancaster to to WMDC in Plainview which I would get to and have to sit for atleast a day or longer waiting on a #### trailer along with a decently large number of other FFE driver's fighting for trailers.
Well, I never heard anything about idle air but they did promise the fuel bonus. I never saw a single #### dime of it and I kept my idle down unless it was really cold or insanely hot out. Out of a year I never saw a safety bonus either which every time I called about they kept BSing me around about.
Ummm sorry but I find this to be a bad reason to pick a company.
Actually if your in LTL and you know James Brown (head over LTL) or you have a cool LTL DM you can get a gatepass off the yard. I've been out in a truck with some other guy's to do shopping and what not but I'm not saying any names.
I'm glad you had a good experiance because alot of us didn't. Fighting with them on trying to jip us out of reimbursments like scale ticket's and toll tickets etc. and that's if you even got your check on time and it wasn't $150 one week & $98 the next having to sit at those #### JBS plants for instance Cactus, TX. where you spent 3+ day's swatting at a swarm of flies in your truck the second you open the door for the first time and the nearest place to get any thing to eat and a decent restroom is 15 miles back south in Dumas.
This is a company I would be more than happy to sit back and grin my ### off while it burnt to the ground or went out business.Last edited: Nov 28, 2010
