All of the above.
I have several audiobooks on my phone from story's to. Lectures. Philosophy.
I also have several apps for music.
And of course the radio.
Funny thing is I allways like all music but dident really listen to some genres at all until I started driving truck. Now I listen to even gospel music.
I like npr talk radio.Trucker61016, SingingWolf, Slim51 and 3 others Thank this. -
Satellite radio, the CB, the weather band
-
Company provides XM satellite so I listen to some talk radio on weekdays, and commercial free pop and classic rock music channels, and weekends and the occasional night run, I listen to a lot of audiobooks (Amazon Audible downloads) ... Brad Thor, and Ward Larsen mostly, but also some classics like Tom Sawyer and Moby-Dick ... all unabridged versions

Sucks when you get a nararator on a audiobook that sounds like they got punched in the throat.
KillingTime and bottomdumpin Thank this. -
Anything but the CB
RustyChops41, WesternPlains and VIDEODROME Thank this. -
I've not experienced this narration problem, at least not with the books I listen too. The Brad Thor and Ward Larsen book all have lots of characters and I think the usual narrators do a fantastic job of distinguishing them all with different and believable dialects and accents. But I'm sure eventually I will experience such an issue.
It's amazing how time flies when you get engrossed in a good "book" on a quiet and desolate stretch of road. I can't listen to audiobooks when in dense traffic or cities where lots of attention must be diverted from the book reading, because it's too easy to lose track of what's going in, especially in high-action segments ... desolate or rural stretches of road are perfect for good audiobooks.Last edited: Nov 15, 2017
