They're famous for that if there's a claim on a load. They can't legally withold payment on any of those loads including the one with a claim but they do it every day to lots of carriers without fear of repercussions. It's like a lot of regulations in this industry don't really have any teeth and when you're a billion+ $ company you can do as you please. They did this to the last company I was leased on at and it was one of the contributing reasons that company practically sank and went under.

They left me no options but to go the legal route. Apparently it's part of their business model. They don't care about customer service on the carrier side at all.

    Buckeyes614 and 6wheeler Thank this.

It was over a dozen loads which they didn't want to pay because one was late.

That's normal. Big corporations have a nasty habit of taking 4-7 business days to do anything.

Can't wait to hear how this turns out.
My guess is that Pacific Financial will say that "there is a claim for the shipment and that has to be worked out with your insurance company"
    Bond Application: DENIED!

If that happens I won't believe the OP anymore without literally all the paperwork. Since he'd be an idiot to send that to strangers on an open internet forum I'll never get sufficient proof.

It's not that I particularly doubt the OP it's just the story is pretty dramatic. I feel like the odds he left something out are way too high to just hand wave away. As much as I want TQL to be this kind of company this is a bit too far fetched.

I am just curious, how long has your company been in business? Newer MC#? Most of the stories I hear about them stiffing someone is newer start up companies.

I know several old established companies that have been hauling for them for years and never had any problems. I mean 15-20 year old companies.

    Edit to add:
I should say problems getting paid. I'm sure they have had the usual run-around problems.
