93 from Kingman to Vegas

What do they rename it to? 19 is already taken unless you want to say 10 and 19 are the same highway between Phoenix and Tucson. Or make I-17 a spur of 10 and rename it the 110.

When I-84 from Utah to Oregon was first opened,it was just called I-80N,still have an old Rand McNally with that designation in it.

 

No wonder it takes you a week from Cincinnati to Seattle.

Seriously I'd love to have some of the atlases from the 60's and 70's and older.

 

That actually makes sense as I-17 is really an intrastate route that only goes from Phoenix to Flagstaff.

 

Good point. It's certainly never going any further north than Flagstaff. I just can't see it ever continuing on up through Moab and Vernal and on up to Yellowstone

And there's no reason I-10 can't be multiplexed with I-19 from Tucson to Phoenix. There are other multiplexed interstates (I-70/I-76 in PA for example) in the US.

 

Also, they are trying to stretch I-11 from Las Vegas to Reno once Las Vegas to Phoenix is completed

 

One thing is for sure if you choose to drive down it you definitely will find out it its open.
