There were a lot of companies that broke it off in drivers back then, but that is horrible.
Remember companies, Star and Covenant come to mind, that started charging drivers to idle their trucks. I was working for PMTG at the time and they just decided to slash driver's pay out of the blue.

I don't know anything first-hand, but I don't believe Wiley is in any financial trouble. The lead recycling plant and the plastic plant and the paint bucket factories and the lead smelter in Mexico...I really doubt there are any hassles.
Now, having said that, I do know that most drivers don't like to run totally legal. I'm not a suck-up, but I learned the hard way that it just don't pay to fight the DOT.
I didn't realize that this thread is 4 years old, but it seems to attract attention, so maybe all is not lost.

Look into driving for one of the pneumatic tanker companies that haul plastic pellets out of Louisiana and the other gulf coast refinery states...
Their work is complicated...you MUST pump your plastic into the right silo. If you hook up wrong, your company could be buying a silo of contaminated product!!!
I liked the work because it was loaded - out, empty - return....pattyj Thanks this. -
that goofy hillbilly is a Billionaire....
He can wear pretty much anything he wants to wear. Or nothing at all. -
From the way it sounds like he did his drivers that billionaire ain't much better than a crack-head living in the sewers of NYCMike2633 and longbedGTs Thank this.
